Ktree is a mecatronic musical sculpture. It's a mechanical construction with its roots stretched into the digital domain as it's controlled via internet. On the net you can compose your own composition for the tree using its twenty-three different percussion instruments and choose a date and time for the composition to be performed where it's planted in the harbour outside K3, university college of art, culture and communication, in Malmö, Sweden.

Malmö University K3, 2000

The sculpture was previously connected to the Internet: ktree site

The ktree is built from stainless steel and glass-fibre and is connected to and controlled by electrical impulses from a microprocessor that activates the magnetic coils connected to the different instruments. the height is about 5 meters
